Please note that, as with many other royalty free music providers, our royalty free music licenses do not include public performance rights (if applicable). More information about Public Performance Rights can be found in our FAQ's below. Please also contact your local Performance Rights Organisation (PRO) if you are unsure whether your project is liable for public performance payments.
It is extremely unlikely you, as the producer, will have to pay performing rights. These are normally paid by the broadcaster (eg. TV channel) when they broadcast a production. Where an Enhanced License is purchased for productions that are to be publically broadcast, such as TV, Radio, Advertising, Film and/or Theatrical use, you are legally required to report the music use in your production by supplying a completed cue sheet (see below) to the relevant Performance Rights Organisations (PRO's), such as PRS (UK), ASCAP (USA), BMI (USA) etc. There is no additional cost for you as the producer and it only takes a few minutes. You just complete a music cue sheet and then file it with the appropriate PRO, or alternatively, you supply the completed cue sheet to the relevant broadcast networks and/or stations and ensure that they file it. Please contact your local Performance Rights Organisation (PRO) if you are unsure whether your project is liable for public performance payments.

A cue sheet is a simple but important document or form used to provide all details about the individual music cues used in an audio visual production that will be broadcast to the public, most commonly on TV, Radio or in a film. The cue sheet is sent by the broadcasters (a TV channel, for example) to the relevant Performing Rights Organizations (PRO's), such as PRS (UK), ASCAP (USA), BMI (USA) etc. The PRO's then use the information provided on cue sheets to identify those composers and publishers who have had their music broadcast to the public and are subsequently entitled to receive performance royalties from the broadcasters.
If you have purchased an Enhanced License for a production that is to be publically broadcast, such as TV, Radio, Advertising, Film and/or Theatrical use, then yes, you are legally required to report the Audio Beast music use in your production by completing a cue sheet and supplying it to the relevant Performance Rights Organisations (PRO's), such as PRS (UK), ASCAP (USA), BMI (USA) etc, or alternatively, you can supply the completed cue sheet to the relevant broadcast networks and/or stations and ensure that they file it with the PRO's. Filing a music cue sheet for your production with PRO's is important. Aside from being a legal requirement, it ensures that our composers receive their fair share of performance royalties from the broadcasters when your production is aired. All the details you need about an individual track to complete a cue sheet can be found in the relevant track's expanded view on the website. To make things easy for you, we can file the performance details with the correct PRO’s on your behalf. All you need to do is accurately complete the music Cue Sheet form on our website and hit the ‘Send Details’ button. We'll do the rest.
